Policy for Open Sustainability

May 2, 2024 – May 3, 2024

Johns Hopkins University Bloomberg Center

presented in partnership with LF Energy

During Nexus Harbor’s Nexus Harbor Summit Series we convene innovators, policymakers, and community leaders to design practical solutions to social determinant of health challenges at the intersection of technology, public service, and sustainability. Each summit focuses on turning big ideas into actionable strategies that integrate people, place, and technology in service of the public good.

As the impacts of climate change intensify, accelerating the decarbonization of energy and transportation systems—two of the largest sources of greenhouse gas emissions—has never been more urgent. Achieving this transformation requires a collaborative approach that engages all stakeholders in designing and implementing solutions that are fair, inclusive, and scalable.

On May 2 – 3, 2024 we will bring together lawmakers, policymakers, utility leaders, automakers, technology vendors, researchers, and community representatives to address the challenges and opportunities of an open, collaborative model for building both technology and standards to drive the energy transition. Through a focus on policy and regulation, participants will explore how to enable innovation while ensuring that the benefits of the transition are equitably shared and that communities are active partners in shaping the clean energy future.
